Questions
What ApplyMog does, what it never does, and what happens to your data.
About ApplyMog
What is ApplyMog?
A Chrome extension that fills job application forms from your own profile, and a workspace that tracks your applications and tailors your resume and cover letters. You review every application and submit it yourself.
Who is it for?
People applying to many jobs who would rather not type the same answers forty times a week, and who want to keep every decision about what is sent.
Does it submit applications for me?
No, and it cannot be set to. It never presses Submit, Apply, Next or Continue on an employer's page, never signs in there, and never marks an application Applied unless you say you submitted it.
What does it cost?
Nothing is for sale on this site. The beta is invite-only, and the person who invites you can tell you its terms.
Autofill
Which job sites does it work on?
It reads ordinary application forms and fills what it understands. Compatibility with employer sites is limited and not guaranteed; most of what has been measured is on reproductions of application forms. When it cannot fill a field, it tells you.
Why did it leave a field blank?
Because your profile has no evidence for the answer, or because the question is one ApplyMog always leaves to you, like a signature or a self-identification question. The extension's report gives the reason for each.
Does it upload my resume?
Only the master resume you uploaded, only to the one upload the page names as the resume, and only when it is empty. Transcripts, photos and other uploads are left to you.
Can it remember answers I type by hand?
Yes, when you ask it to. After you fill something yourself, the extension can offer to remember it, for the same question. Nothing is learned without your press.
AI and accuracy
Will it make things up?
Forms are filled from your profile, and a question it has no evidence for is left blank. Tailored wording and drafted answers are checked by rules that refuse a name, figure, technology or listed claim your record lacks; a rewording the rules do not recognise can still pass. You read and accept every change before it is used.
Does ApplyMog find jobs for me?
When you press Find jobs, it reads the public job boards of the employers it follows and a few public job lists, and keeps what your preferences allow. A board that does not answer is reported. It never searches on a schedule of its own.
Which AI provider does it use?
Only the ones you allow, by name, under Settings, AI processing, and only where the person running the service has turned AI on; otherwise Settings says AI is not available. Nothing is allowed until you choose. Tracking and Autofill do not use AI at all.
Can recruiters tell?
What reaches an employer is what you submit: your own answers, your own resume, your own press of Submit. ApplyMog types for you; it does not apply for you.
Your data
Where is my data kept?
On the server that runs this beta, in a workspace that holds only your data. See the privacy notice for the details.
Can I take my data with me, or delete it?
Yes. Your account page downloads your workspace and your account record as one file, and deletes your account. Backups made before a deletion are deleted about 30 days after they were made; the privacy notice says when one is kept longer.
Does ApplyMog email anyone for me?
No. It does not send email on your behalf.
Does ApplyMog read my email?
No. In this beta it does not read any mailbox. Record what an employer told you on the application itself; it is kept as your own report.
The beta
How do I get an invitation?
Ask the person running this beta. There is no public sign-up or waiting list.
My invitation link does not work.
A link works once, for the address it was sent to, and expires. Ask for a new one.
I forgot my password.
Use reset your password (not in this preview). If email is not set up for this beta, the person who invited you can give you a reset link.
