Preview of the ApplyMog beta site. This is not the service: nothing here signs you in, and the beta is invite-only. Anything marked “not in this preview” works only on the running service.

Draft -- to be reviewed before launch

Terms of use

Plain-language terms for the invite-only beta of ApplyMog. They have not yet been reviewed by a lawyer, and they will change before the beta opens more widely. The name of the operator who offers this service will be published here before the beta opens.

A beta, by invitation

  • The service is offered to people who were invited, for their own job search.
  • It is a beta. Features may change or be removed, the service may be unavailable at times, and it may stop. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose; you can download your data from your account page at any time.
  • It is provided as it is, without a promise that it will work for a given purpose.

Your applications are yours

  • ApplyMog fills application forms from the profile you approved. It never submits an application: you review every answer and press Submit yourself, and you are responsible for what you send to an employer.
  • Autofill leaves a field blank when your profile has no evidence for it. Check every page before you submit.
  • Compatibility with employer sites is limited and not guaranteed. A site that worked yesterday may change.
  • Keep your profile truthful. Text ApplyMog drafts for you is checked against your own profile and the job posting, but you decide whether to use it.

Using the service fairly

  • Use your own account only, and keep your password to yourself.
  • Do not try to reach another person's data, or to get around the limits below.
  • Do not use the service to send applications on someone else's behalf without their knowledge.
  • Follow the terms of the job sites and employer sites you use.

Limits

Each account has an allowance for AI requests per month, heavy operations (such as searching job boards or tailoring a resume) per day, and storage. Your account page shows the current figures. When a limit is reached, the operation is refused until the allowance resets; nothing is charged to you. The service as a whole also has a monthly limit for AI, the operator can pause AI for everyone, and AI is available only where the operator has turned it on.

Accounts

  • You can delete your account at any time from your account page.
  • The operator may pause sign-ins, or disable an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other people's data at risk.

Source code

ApplyMog is free software under the GNU Affero General Public License, version 3. The source code of the running version is available from the source page. Nothing in these terms limits the rights that licence gives you.

Changes

When these terms change, the new version will be published on this page.
